A common issue I treat in my studio is knee pain. The range of people suffering from knee pain can be quite big, anyone from athletes to weekend runners, whose biomechanics could be causing their knee pain, through the population who may be suffering with some from of degeneration (arthritis for example). The way I treat people, depending on the cause of their knee pain is quite different, but one technique I have found useful for most people who suffer knee pain is the use of kinesiology tape. It is great for helping calm down the symptoms and easing discomfort. Whilst it won't correct the underlying cause, its good to ease the pain whilst the underlying cause gets corrected. Watch this video here on how to tape knee pain. Knee taping video. Give it a go and let me know how you get on. All content provided on this blog is for informational purposes only. About the author I am a Manual Therapist covering a range of different disciplines including massage & Biomechanics. I also run small specialist Pilates classes around Corfe Mullen, Broadstone, Wareham, Wimborne & Poole. Instead of just purely rubbing the pain, I always look to see if I can find a potential cause (or causes of the pain) and then work on treating this
